HyperKnights Terms of Use
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of HyperKnights ("the Game"), a mobile game published by HYPER HOLLOW GAMES, Germany. By installing or playing the Game you agree to them. They sit alongside the Google Play Terms of Service, which govern any purchase made through Google Play.
Looking for how we handle data?
These terms cover the licence and your purchase. Data is a separate document.
HyperKnights Privacy Policy →1. Your Licence
HyperKnights is licensed to you, not sold. Installing it grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play HyperKnights on devices you own or control, for your own private, non-commercial use.
You may not sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the game or its files, modify or reverse-engineer it except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded, or use it to build a competing product.
2. Free Act, One Purchase
The first act of HyperKnights is free to play. Everything after it is unlocked with a single in-game item, "The Rest of the Story", bought with HyperGold. There is nothing else to buy: no other items, no subscription, no consumables, no advertising, and the game never asks you to pay again to continue.
HyperGold is a virtual currency shared across Hyper Hollow Games titles. It has no monetary value outside our games, cannot be cashed out, refunded for money or transferred to another person, and may be spent only inside our games. Gold you already hold from another of our games can be spent on "The Rest of the Story" without any purchase. If you do not hold enough, the game offers exactly one gold pack, currently €2.99 where you live, that covers the unlock in full; the unlock completes as soon as the gold lands.
Gold packs are sold by Google, not by us. Billing, receipts, payment methods, family sharing and refunds are therefore handled by Google Play under Google's own terms, and refund requests go through the Google Play refund process rather than through us. Gold that has already been spent on an unlock cannot be refunded. If something in the game is broken, please write to us anyway — we would rather fix it.
The purchase screen sits behind a simple question meant for a grown-up. If you are a parent or guardian, please keep your Google Play purchase authentication turned on; it is the effective control.
3. No Account, and What Lives on Our Server
There is no account to create and no sign-in. Your knight's career — level, equipment, company, and how far down the road you are — is stored on your device. Uninstalling the game, clearing its storage, or moving to a new device without an Android backup will lose it, and we cannot restore it, as we never hold a copy.
Your HyperGold balance and the unlock are different: they are kept against a random player ID on our own server so that the story you paid for survives a reinstall, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you lose the player ID (for example by clearing app data without a backup), write to us with your Google Play order number and we will restore the unlock.
The duels themselves run on your device and can be played offline. Buying gold, spending it, and syncing your balance need a connection to Google Play and to our server.
4. Who May Play
HyperKnights is a stylised fantasy duel game: a cartoon knight fights skeletons, wyrms, drakes and other monsters with sword and shield. There is no blood, no gore, no gambling, no chat and no user-generated content. If you are under the age at which you can enter a contract where you live, a parent or guardian must make any purchase and agree to these terms on your behalf.
5. Our Content
HyperKnights, its name, artwork, characters, story, music, sound and code are owned by Hyper Hollow Games and protected by copyright. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.
You are welcome to record, stream and publish video of your own play, including monetised video, as long as it is your own gameplay and you do not present the game as your own work or redistribute its assets on their own.
6. Updates and Availability
We may release updates that change, add or remove features, rebalance duels, or adjust the story, and we may at some point stop publishing new updates for HyperKnights. A version you have installed keeps working offline for the duels; the gold service depends on our server, which we intend to keep running for as long as the game is offered on Google Play. If we ever have to shut the service down we will give reasonable notice inside the game and on this page, and the story you unlocked will stay unlocked on the device you unlocked it on.
7. Warranty and Liability
HyperKnights is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law we make no warranty that it will be free of faults or that it will run on every device, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of progress stored on your device.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer under German and EU law — which apply in addition to these terms and are not affected by them.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged, and are not willing, to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the game or to legal requirements. The current version always lives at www.hyperhollowgames.net/games/hyperknights/terms with the date it was last updated. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
